The first alleged screenshot of Assassin’s Creed Empire, the next chapter in Ubisoft’s multi-million selling stealth-action franchise, has leaked on Twitter.
As you can see below, the screenshot doesn’t really give all that much away, and appears to showcase an animus-like setting with crude outlines of what appears to be a pyramid. There’s also various menu options on display, along with the game’s logo.

Assassin’s Creed Empire is the rumored title for the next instalment in the franchise, and is supposedly set to take place in Egypt, giving this leak a little more clout. Nonetheless, it’s worth taking this shot with a pinch of salt for the time being, at least until we hear something official on the matter.
Having said that, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate did leak months ahead of its formal reveal, so there’s still the possibility this is indeed an early screenshot. Ubisoft recently suggested that the new Assassin’s Creed may not be released in 2017.
