Fresh details on Ubisoft’s as-yet unannounced Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake have surfaced via YouTuber and Streamer ‘xj0nathan,’ who has accurately reported on a number of Assassin’s Creed-related details in the past.
In his latest claims, the streamer has stated that the Black Flag Remake will include a weather system that is similar to those seen in this year’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and won’t feature any load times. Meanwhile, the game is set to add revamped menus and an improved map, which will include more activities and detail while not being bigger or smaller than the original.

Back in September a report also claimed that the game’s map will be packed with more activities to do, as well as content that was scrapped from the original version of the game. Last month, Insider-Gaming reported that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake is expected to be released prior to March 31, 2026, so an official reveal is probably not going to be far off — perhaps at The Game Awards 2025?
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was originally released in late 2013 for PS4, PS3, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, and is a prequel of sorts to Assassin’s Creed III. The game follows Edward Kenway during the Golden of Piracy, as he brushers shoulders with historical features including the legendary Black Beard while commanding his own pirate ship and embarking on a epic quest filled with riches while becoming embroiled in the centuries-long war involving the assassins and the Templar Order.
