According to report on Insider Gaming, Ubisoft’s as-yet unannounced Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake is set to launch before March 31, 2026.
The news comes following the publication of Ubisoft’s delayed earnings report, where it mentions one ‘unannounced game’ set to arrive before the end of Ubisoft’s fiscal year, which is March 31, 2026. There’s no artwork accompanying the title, which is joined by the likes of Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake and The Division: Resurgence.
According to Insider Gaming, this mystery title is indeed the remake of 2013’s swashbuckling Assassin’s Creed epic, which is due to launch the week of March 23, 2026.

The Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake has been rumoured for a while now. Back in August, Matt Ryan, the voice actor behind Black Flag’s protagonist Edward Kenway, revealed that Ubisoft threatened to sue him after he previously hinted at the remake’s existence.
Meanwhile, an extensive report published in September claims that the game will eschew the modern day sequences in favour of more content from the Golden Age of Piracy, and will include loot and gear stats for Edward and is expected to add content cut from the original 2013 version. In addition, while the map is not expected to be larger, it will be filled with more activities for players to soak up.
Ubisoft has yet to officially announced the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake.
