Ubisoft has emerged from the shadows with the official Assassin’s Creed Mirage launch trailer to whet your appetite for Basim’s epic adventure ahead of the game’s launch next month.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in 9th century Baghdad and reunites players with Basim, a character who previously appeared in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The game starts out with Basim living a simple life as a street thief alongside a bunch of loyal companions, and chronicles his rise through the ranks in the Assassins Brotherhood has he becomes embroiled in the war with the Templar Order.
Ubisoft has made no secret about its intention to make Assassin’s Creed Mirage more in line with the earlier games, and as such it’s not a mammoth 100 hour-plus RPG like Valhalla or Odyssey. Instead, it weaves a more linear narrative and features a smaller world to explore, albeit still dense and packed with things to do.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is due out on October PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
