Assassin’s Creed Shadows Reaches 3 Million Players, Over 40 Million Hours Played Since Launch

Ubisoft has announced in a post on X that Assassin’s Creed Shadows has notched up three million players worldwide since its launch on March 20, 2025.

The French publisher also revealed a few other statistics about the stealth-action game, confirming players have put in over 40 million hours into the game to date. In addition, Assassin’s Creed Shadows also recorded Ubisoft’s biggest ever Day 1 result on the PlayStation Store for digital purchases, and earned the publisher its second-highest Day 1 sales revenue for the Assassin’s Creed franchise to date.

Ubisoft recently posted a thank you message to fans on X following the game’s release, expressing the team’s gratitude for the support from gamers. In the UK, the game recorded the biggest physical release of the year so far ahead of Monster Hunter Wilds, and received its first patch earlier this week to address issues with Photo Mode.
