Ubisoft has rolled out microtransactions for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla one month after the game’s launch, which allows players to bypass grinding for XP by purchasing boosters with real-life cash. It’s not forced on you, mind, as you don’t have to bother with them if you don’t want to.
The Ubisoft in-game now features an option for XP Boost, meaning you won’t have to spend as much time grinding your Eivor for higher levels and powers. The booster enhances any XP you gain by 50%, and costs 1000 Helix Credits, which is roughly $10.
Here’s what Ubisoft had to say during a statement with Game Informer:
As more and more post-launch content becomes available, we want to give the option to players to advance their progression. Utilities allow players who lack the time to fully explore the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to be able to acquire the game’s best gear, as well as other items, by accelerating their progress.
For instance, these players can purchase maps that uncover some interesting locations in the world, but would still have to visit and play them to get their rewards.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, and you can read our review here.
