Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for PS5 and PS4 this afternoon in an unorthodox fashion. The title will be cross-generation and come to PS5 and PS4 this holiday season.
The World Premiere Trailer will debut tomorrow at 4 PM GMT, 11 AM EDT, 8 AM PDT. @Tidux on Twitter is reporting that a gameplay reveal will follow next week.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Announced For PS5 and PS4
The reveal was posted live on YouTube with artist Bosslogic, who proceeded to piece together the game’s key artwork from scratch. This was far from your standard cinematic trailer; the whole process took eight hours. You can see the full piece of art above
As for the image itself, it depicts a Saxon castle in the upper-righthand corner featuring a number of folk clashing swords in the foreground, while the left-hand side is devoted to a Nordic-inspired setting featuring Viking ships and icy conditions.
The person in the middle is holding an axe. They also have arrows on their belt, as well as a mysterious bottle. Their armor also fits the Viking setting of the game.
The main protagonist also has a raven following them from behind, which is likely to be Valhalla’s version of Eagle Vision, which we guess is now called Raven Vision. It also looks like Ubisoft Montreal will be taking the lead on the project, with assistance from other studios.
Multiple questions that appeared on the stream using a twitch extension also referenced gods, such as Odin and Thor, possibly hinting that mythology and maybe even the gods themselves will be featured in the RPG.

As previously reported, the new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for PS5 and PS4 was heavily rumored to feature Vikings and had gone under the working subtitle of ‘Ragnarok’. We’re also expected to see more supernatural elements this time around.
In the past year, numerous leaks for the game have emerged and we should find out if they were true soon.
