Astro Bot Game Director Gives Hope To Final Fantasy Bots: ‘We’ll See’

Nicolas Doucet, the director on Astro Bot, has given hope that the game’s missing Final Fantasy bots may yet materialise.

Speaking withTheGamer at this week’s BAFTA Game Awards, Doucet was asked about the lack of Final Fantasy characters in the critically acclaimed platformer, which acts as a celebration of 30 years of PlayStation with nods to classic franchises in the form of guest bots.

His response? A quick laugh, a brief glance over to his Astro Bot co-worker, Gento Mortia, before replying simply with, “Well, we’ll see.” The pair then exchanged a brief smile, suggesting that there may be something in the pipeline in regards to adding Final Fantasy bots.
