Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment has announced that Ballistic will be the next playable character to join the free-to-player battle royale title.
Ballistic will join Apex Legends Season 17 on May 19, 2023, and a former Thunderdome athlete whose career made a tragic end with the death of his brother-in-law and teammate. Since that time, Ballistic has become something of a loner, and neglect his family.
Eventually he discovers that his son has qualified for the Apex Games, which acts as a catalyst for him to return to action and replace his son by making a deal with the Syndicate.
Apex Legends’ new season is titled Arsenal and we’ll be getting a detailed trailer later this week, at which point we can expect more details on Ballistic as a character.
Respawn released Apex Legends in February 2019 on PS4, PC, and Xbox One, and was later optimised for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
