Battlefield 2042’s launch wasn’t what EA or DICE had hoped it would be, but since then the team has not stopped working to improve the player experience at every turn, and the newly revealed Season 3: Escalation seems to be a continuation of that.
A new map, Spearhead will be introduced, along with re-works of Breakaway and Manifest. A new specialist, Rasheed Zain will also join the roster, armed with an airburst launcher, and the ability to heal twice as fast.
Season 3: Escalation itself will launch on November 22, 2022.
And if you’ve not yet jumped into Battlefield 2042 yourself, players on PlayStation will be able to try it out for free this coming December 16-23.

A new tank vehicle is also being introduced, on top of two new weapons, a shotgun and a rail gun.
Including the new additions, and everything players could already expect from Battlefield 2042, it makes for quite the variety of weapons, vehicles, maps and specialists.
This new content and the changes DICE continues to make are welcome for players, though there are still more to come, particularly with the change to a class system currently set to arrive in 2023 with update 3.2.
