Electronic Arts looks set to host a Battlefield 6 Open Beta within the next few weeks, according to news channel 1BF, who revealed on Telegram that the beta will be kicking off on August 4.
“Open beta build is currently scheduled on 4 Aug. Build number is 5 numbers ahead than latest BF Labs build,” reads the post. This follows a post on the official Battlefield social media channels that reads, “Open Weapons vs Closed Weapons. Why not both? Starting at Open Beta players can choose official playlists with Signature Weapons locked to class, or not.”

While EA has yet to confirm any official details on the Battlefield 6 Open Beta, the 1BF Telegram reported last week that references to the beta client were unearthed in the latest client update for Battlefield Labs.
In the meantime, leaks from Battlefield Labs has provided us with a slew of hints as to what’s coming from the new game. Only recently, the fan-favourite Rush Mode was showcased in action, as well as footage from the campaign. Furthermore, it has also been claimed that the new Battlefield title has transitioned from pre-Alpha build to Alpha.
EA will officially reveal the new Battlefield game at some point this summer, with the game expected to launch for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
