Electronic Arts has announced that the second Open Beta weekend for the highly anticipated Battlefield 6 is now live for players, and confirmed a layout of the modes that will be in rotation.

The publishing giant also revealed that the Firing Range will continued to be offered as part of Training Grounds, plus introductions for classes, Breakthrough, and Conquest. Meanwhile, Initiation Mode is available to players at career rank 15 and below, which features AI soldiers and is aimed at easing new players into the Battlefield 6 experience.
The first Battlefield 6 Open Beta Weekend attracted huge numbers, giving the franchise its biggest ever beta session to date. Furthermore, the game’s anti-cheat software blocked 330,000 cheating attempts during the early access period for the first Open Beta.
Elsewhere, the former head of Blizzard, Mike Ybarra, has said he believes EA’s upcoming shooter will ‘boot stomp‘ Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, resulting in Activision having to improve its own franchise leading to a better FPS experience overall. Despite this, a report claimed that while Activision is keeping an eye on its rival, it feels Call of Duty is simply too big to fail.
Battlefield 6 is pencilled in for a October 10, 2025 release on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
