The Battlefield 6 subreddit has revealed that physical copies of the game have started trickling into the hands of players ahead of its official release on October 10, and what’s more, the PS5 version of the shooter has the full game on disc. Yep, that means no downloading is required for physical owners of Battlefield 6.
Physical copies of major video games as of late have typically not included the full experience on disc; instead, players have to downloads a chunk of the game, or even the full package. Fortunately, EA has decided not to follow this trend and has included the full Battlefield 6 experience on disc, at least as far as PS5 is concerned.

As reported earlier this week, an email that was distributed by EA confirmed that Battlefield 6 on consoles can reach up to 120 FPS, and analysts have predicted that the game will sell as much as five million copies in its first week. Meanwhile, the Battlefield 6 Season 1 Roadmap has been officially confirmed by EA, with the game set to receive a number of free content drops starting October 28.
Battlefield 6 is due out on October 10, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
