Digital Foundry has revealed that the PlayStation 4 version of Battlefield Hardline’s beta runs at 900p.
By comparison, the Xbox One edition of the cops vs robbers shooter clocks in at 720p.
Developer Visceral Games previously commented that it was targeting the same resolution for Hardline as it did with Battlefield 4. Sure enough, that title ran at 720p and 900p for the Xbox One and PS4 versions, respectively.
However, at E3 last year, Sony boasted that the PS4 version would run at 1080p/60fps, which was also expected of the Xbox One edition.
Obviously that is no longer the case, and at this stage in its development, it’s unlikely we’ll see a resolution bump so close to release.
Battlefield Hardline releases on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in March 2015.
