Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition Officially Announced For 2024 Release

Ubisoft has officially confirmed that Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition is in the pipeline, and will launch for as-yet unannounced platforms in 2024. The game was previously leaked on the Xbox store and also appeared in an ESRB listing.

Some folk on Ubisoft+ for Xbox formats were able to sample an “early development version” of the game recently, as it was released by mistake early yesterday evening. However Ubisoft notes that “this version is not indicative of the final game.””

Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition is promises to deliver 4K resolution and 60 FPS, as well as enhanced visuals, controls, audio and a new auto-save and cross-save feature. Ubisoft’s press blurb also mentions “exclusive new rewards” earned as you explore the planet and unearth more about Jade’s past, and you can also tuck into a new speed run mode and updated achievements.

The original version of Beyond Good & Evil launched for PS2, GameCube, PC, and Xbox back in 2003, and a sequel is in development, although when we’re going to see that game is anyone’s guess at this point.
