2K Games has staple-gunned a release date to BioShock: Infinite’s hotly-anticipated Burial at Sea expansion.
Episode One will be made available for download on PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE and Steam starting on November 12, priced £9.99/$14.99.
Burial at Sea takes gamers back to the underwater metropolis Rapture, which was the setting of the original BioShock and its sequel. Here, we find Booker DeWitt and Elizabeth taking part in an all-new adventure on New Year’s Eve, 1958, the night before Rapture is engulfed in war.
“This is a love letter to the fans, but it’s also the beginning of a story that will give gamers a new perspective on the BioShock universe. With Burial at Sea, we built a Rapture not from BioShock and BioShock Infinite scraps and pieces, but with environments almost entirely crafted from scratch,’ commented BioShock creator and Irrational Games Creative Director, Ken Levine.
Episode Two of Burial at Sea, which has yet to attract a release date, will introduce the ability to play as Elizabeth for the first time, and includes new stealth and gameplay mechanics.
