UPDATE 01/08/2024: According to prominent leaker Jeff Grubb, the release date for The Veilguard is set to be sometime in October 2024. Which still fits the timeline if Bioware makes the announcement in August or September.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is arguably one of the most anticipated games of 2024, in part because it looks like an epic new fantasy RPG, but mainly because it’s the return of the beloved Dragon Age franchise after it was dormant for a decade.
Now the wait is almost over, and according to Bioware we’ll soon be able to count the exact days until the waiting can end. In a blog post recapping Bioware’s time showcasing the game’s cast at San Diego Comic-Con, the studio confirmed that it intends to reveal The Veilguard’s official release date next month.
What’s interesting about this post however is that it technically went live yesterday, while we were still in July – so when Bioware says “next month,” that could very well just mean this month now that we’ve crossed over into August.
It could still mean September, but why not be a little hopeful? Regardless, we clearly don’t have too much longer to wait until we actually have The Veilguard in our own hands.
