Bioware Shows Off New 22-Minute Gameplay Deep-Dive For Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Dragon Age: The Veilguard marks the return of the popular RPG franchise for the first time in a decade when it launches on October 31, 2024.

It’s an exciting time for RPG fans, and of course it’s particularly exciting for Dragon Age fans, as we’re now a little less than two months out from the coming launch.

And it makes it all the more exciting to see how eager Bioware is to share more and more about the game. In a new preview from IGN, game director Corrine Busche and the studio’s creative director John Epler go through 22 minutes of gameplay, showcasing plenty more of the game’s combat, the locations you’ll explore, and a few narrative moments.

Even just a year ago, you wouldn’t be alone if you believed that Bioware was never going to get the next Dragon Age game across the finish line. Despite confirmations from the studio that the game was happening, all we had to go on for months was a few pieces of concept art.

Now though as we constantly get closer to its release, it’s a relief to see Bioware being so open about the game. Of course it’s all part of the marketing of The Veilguard, but fans would have much more reason to be worried if Bioware was still just showing more concept art.
