Bandai Namco has dropped a new trailer of its upcoming anime game Black Clover: Quartet Knights.
The clip depicts a 4v4 battle between 8 fairly popular characters from the franchise, with the majority of the fight being from the perspective of characters Charmy Pappitson, Vanessa Enoteca, and Klaus Lunettes. Eagle-eyed viewers will also spot a showdown between character Yami Sukehiro and a younger version of himself.
The magical third-person shooter promises some pretty chaotic gameplay with characters launching cotton balls (watch the show, it’ll make more sense) spider webs and magical lances at one another across fairly large battlefields. Perhaps most exciting is the game’s incorporation of altitude, obstacles and various other map elements that many arena style anime games often lack when they dump you into a square field.
Black Clover: Quartet Knights will feature a single player mode with an original story unique to the game in which players will face off against a vengeful mage named Karna. For a sneak peek, check out the story trailer below.
While the game is slated for Japanese release September 13th, Western and European audiences will be able to pick it up for their PS4s the following day. The game is available for pre-order through various outlets now.
Hungry for more? Bandai’s Youtube also has some pretty sweet trailers showcasing the series three main protagonists Asta, Yuno, and Noelle, as well as a recently released, announce trailer featuring the first serious enemy Asta faced, Mars.
