Black Friday boosts Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection sales by 999%

GfK Chart-Track has revealed that sales of the PlayStation 4-exclusive Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection were boosted by an eye-watering 999 percent during the Black Friday shopping period.

The three-game bundle, which remasters PS3 classics Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, shot from no.24 to no.9 on the U.K. All Format Chart over the weekend. The sales boost can largely be attributed to the game’s inclusion in PS4 hardware deals, which were reduced to wallet-friendly prices for Black Friday.

In fact, the Black Friday period was immensely success for PS4 and Xbox One in general, with more consumers splashing out on Sony and Microsoft’s current-generation systems than the same period last year. 86 percent of all console sales during Black Friday were split between PS4 and Xbox One.

Sales of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection were slightly underwhelming across the pond, where the collection was beaten in the U.S. by the likes of Halo 5: Guardians and even the Wii U-exclusive title, Yoshi’s Wooly World. It initially performed well in the U.K. however, entering in second place and becoming the eighth-biggest PS4 launch of 2015. In addition, the Nathan Drake Collection also performed well digitally, topping October’s PlayStation Store chart. Sony recently released a 1GB update for the collection, so grab it if you’ve not played it in a while be sure to sign-in to PSN and grab it.
