Blizzard brings even more incentive to Diablo III Ultimate Edition for PS3, PS4

Blizzard released more information as to why buying Diablo III on the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 is worthwhile.

Diablo fans who haven’t jumped into Diablo III for a good while will be greeted with a new level cap, the new Crusader class, new abilities, and the very immersive Adventure Mode; the latter of which turns the game into an attractive, daily-quest-esque experience that has a much faster pace than the Story Mode does.

The biggest edition to the Ultimate Evil Edition is exclusive to consoles: the Apprentice Mode. Apprentice Mode grants a bonus to co-op players so that playing with others of different level is less tedious. Specifically, the lower level player will have his or her stats boosted in order to compensate for the difference with the higher level player. This may put a stint on runthroughs on the console version, but that means that the higher level player won’t get bored smiting lower-level creatures.

As per the announcement on the PlayStation Blog, Blizzard also states that the PS4 version of the game will be updated alongside the PC version. So, unlike how it was with the PS3 release to Diablo III, Production Director John Hight says that "the next-gen console architecture makes it much easier for us to offer ongoing patch support for the PS4 version of the Ultimate Evil Edition." This means that PC Diablo III players won’t be far ahead of console players when Blizzard releases new content.

Even though Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition won’t support cross-platform play, there’s still a great deal of incentive for jumping right back into the pits of Hell with friends.
