A new presentation showcasing the fiscal year results for Q3 2020/2021 for Digital Bros, of which 505 Games is a subsidiary, has seemingly revealed that a sequel to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is in development.
The presentation has a slide dedicated to the game which says that there is a “second version in development”. Alongside that news, it is revealed that the game has sold more than 1 million copies and generated more than 30 million euros in revenue.
A sequel to the game isn’t surprising, especially when the game was the first example of a classic developer releasing a throwback game and it living up to most peoples’ expectations. We loved the game in our review stating that it is a sprawling and beautiful monument to the classic Castlevania games.
What are you hoping we see in a sequel and what new features would you like to be added?
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is available now on PS4 and is playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility.
