Blue Box Game Studios has posted on Twitter that the studio continues to work hard on Abandoned, following Hideo Kojima’s latest podcast that addressed the controversy surrounding the PS5 horror title.

This statement is the first we’ve heard from Blue Box Game Studios on the status of Abandoned since March, when the company dismissed reports that the game had been cancelled.
Abandoned was announced for the PS5 by Blue Box Game Studios in 2021, although to date we’ve never seen the game properly in action let alone got our hands on a finished release.
Following its reveal, a lot of speculation started igniting online suggesting that the game was actually related to Silent Hill and Kojima was behind the project. If you recall, Kojima had pulled this prank before back when Metal Gear Solid 5 was in development.
Right now we have no idea when Abandoned will be released, but the game is still in the works, so hopefully Blue Box Game Studios will offer more info soon enough.
