Following an anonymous tip-off, a bomb disposal unit was called to Borderlands developer, Gearbox Studios’ HQ in Texas on Friday evening.
Gearbox president Randy Pitchford was at the office when the incident occurred. He subsequently tweeted about it several times.
Thank you @PlanoPoliceDept for keeping us safe at Plano Tower tonight! Bomb Disposal Unit for the win!

The Plano PD was so professional, they did not disclose details. I did *not* call in the threat and am still unsure of what happened.

At present, the police have yet to disclose the details of the threat, nor the source of the hoax call, but, happily, made a successful sweep of the area.
Sadly, this marks the second time in recent weeks that a bomb threat has been levelled at a gaming company. In late August, the ‘’hacking’’ group Lizard Squad tweeted a claim that an American Airlines flight carrying Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley contained explosives, forcing the flight to be diverted.
