2K has announced that Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will be hitting PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in March.
The pack remasters Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for Sony and Microsoft’s latest home consoles, complete with all accompanying downloadable content for each game.
Players can also transfer their saves and leveled characters from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the games over to current-generation platforms, utilizing the new cross-save functionality.
For the first time in the Borderlands franchise, four-player split screen is also available in the Handsome Collection.
2K boss Christoph Hartmann commented: “The Handsome Collection gives players the opportunity to experience the full arc of Handsome Jack’s rise and fall, from his not-so-humble beginnings on Elpis to becoming the tyrannical Hyperion CEO on Pandora, all in one value-packed bundle.”
“This collection marks the Borderlands franchise’s official move to the next-gen platforms, and we’re proud to offer our fans the ability to continue playing with the characters they’ve built as they carry on adventuring in The Handsome Collection.”
In addition, 2K announced a limited-run Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Claptrap-in-a-box Edition, featuring a host of extra content on top of the regular version. For £269.95, you’ll get a steelbook, 12 exclusive lithographs, and a smartphone app-controlled Claptrap steward.
Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is due out in the U.S. on March 24 and Internationally on March 27, priced £49.99.
