Destiny 2 developer Bungie has revealed that it has a number of unannounced projects in the pipeline with Sony, according to the studio’s creative lead Tom Farnsworth.
Speaking on Twitter, Bungie revealed that the studio has “completely changed” how it tackles game development and conducts business throughout the course of Destiny’s 25-plus content drops, “moving from strictly boxed products to live service games.”
“And with the support of Sony we are working on a number of unannounced projects too.”
Bungie previously revealed in February 2021 that it was looking to release at least one new IP before 2025, and back in June last year Sony announced that it had acquired the former Halo studio for $3.6 billion.
Destiny 2 was released back in September 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One, before arriving for PC a few months later. The game has received extensive post-launch support, with Bunging continuing to release new expansions for the game in favour of releasing a new Destiny game.
