The next title in the Call of Duty series with be Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, confirmed Activision via a short teaser trailer today.
Developed by Treyarch, Activision has previously teased the third iteration in the Black Ops series without officially announcing it, with clues floating around in Black Ops 2 and via Snapchat and Instagram. Via the official Call of Duty blog, Activision communications manager Scott Lowe confirmed the news today, also revealing that the worldwide first look at Black Ops 3 will be on Sunday, April 26.
“There’s so much to talk about,” wrote Scott “and I’m sure you all have plenty of questions, but the good news is you won’t have to wait long for answers—the world reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops III is set for Sunday, April 26, so stay tuned for details. In the meantime, check out the short teaser below.”
Not much is given away in the trailer, well, nothing actually, though there is a Snapchat QR code floating around if you pause it at the right moment.
