Activision has announced a free trial for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which will run from October 9 — 16, 2025, allowing players to sample the game’s campaign, multiplayer, and zombies content.
This is the first time that the series has given players access to the full experience during a free trial. This includes The Haunting, which features the Rig, Boomtown, Slasher Deathmatch, and Haunted Havoc content, as well as over 40 multiplayer maps and 10 multiplayer modes, such as Gravity, Mothball, Runway, Exchange, and Stakeout.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was released in October 2024 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series, and Xbox One. The game is being followed up this year by a full sequel, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which arrives on November 14, 2025 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 featured a four-year development cycle, which is the longest in the series’ history. The game takes place during Operation Dest Storm, and follows Troy Marshall and Frank Woods, rogue CIA operatives as they put together a team of agents to hunt down the paramilitary group Pantheon.
