Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies First Look Confirms A New Story, Cross-Play, And More

Treyarch has officially lifted the lid on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War‘s Zombies mode, showcasing a trailer and revealing the first details about what we can expect in November.

The cast is entirely new with a brand new story for players to uncover. The new map is called Die Maschine and has nods to Nach der Untoten. It is set in the early 1980’s and stars Grigori Weaver (returning from the original Black Ops) who leads a CIA team called Requiem into an abandoned World War 2 bunker. A rival Soviet squad called Omega Group aims to study and harness the supernatural in the area. Among the cast is a collection of faces, along with Sam who is eager to share intel with you and your group.

The mode will also feature cross-gen play, along with traditional cross-play between platforms. Classic perks, Wall-Buys, the Mystery Box, and the Pack-A-Punch return along with classic weapons return and a unification of unifying progression between Multiplayer, Zombies, and Campaign, including through the seasonal Battle Pass. Weapons will also have power levels and rarity, allowing you to up the power of them as you play. Field Upgrades will provide buffs to players and you are now able to escape a map if you don’t think you can survive in return for some rewards. All post-launch content for the mode will also be free for all players.
