Call of Duty: Black Ops III beta now open to all PS4 owners

Left fuming by the fact that many gamers are currently taking up arms in the beta for Treyarch Studios’ upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops III whilst you’re sat twiddling your thumbs in discontent?

Well, not anymore, as the Santa Monica-based developer has confirmed via its Twitter that the flood gates have been opened and the beta is now available to all PS4 owners wishing to partake.

Having begun in earnest a day earlier than initially anticipated, the Black Ops III beta has been running for the last number of days with a relatively low amount of hiccups and much to the delight of Call of Duty’s fervent fan base.

Housed within the original beta lay a total of seven modes across three maps, with the file size weighing in at a whopping 12.5GB. In anticipation of the weekend and indeed the influx of new users, Treyarch has also added a new mode ‘Uplink’, a new map entitled: ‘Stronghold’, and is bringing up the level cap to 34, even though less than 10 percent of players had hit the initial cap as of earlier today.

The PS4 beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops III runs up until August 23 so make sure to get some gaming time in while you can.
