Call of Duty: Ghosts’ multiplayer offering will be unveiled in August, developer Infinity Ward has announced.
Writing on Twitter, executive producer Mark Rubin confirmed that the online portion of its latest military FPS will be detailed in the middle of next month, hinting at a possible Gamescom reveal.
Up until now, publisher Activision has been focusing on the single-player component of Ghosts, specifically the addition of a canine companion that will aid players throughout their adventure.
The publisher is offering multiplayer pre-order goodies for Ghosts in the shape of the Free Fall map. This introduces “dynamic map events” to the franchise for the first time, resulting in terrain being affected by various real-time events. As ever, it’ll hit Xbox platforms first.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is due out in November for multiple platforms, including next-generation consoles.
