Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be free-to-play this week from 10.00am PST on December 15 through December 20, 10.00am PST.
The announcement comes only a few weeks after Titanfall 2 enjoyed its own F2P weekend, so hopefully we’ll see more companies go down this route in 2017.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare FP2 kicking off this week
This limited time offering of Infinite Warfare grants you access to the first two campaign levels ‘Rising Threat’ and ‘Black Sky’. The multiplayer is also free with a level cap of 15, while the zombie’s mode is limited to level 3. If you do decide to purchase Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare after this free trial all your progress and experience carry over.
With Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare sales down 50% on its predecessor, maybe this free trial can claw back some of its lost market from its main competitor, Battlefield 1.
