In an Activision blog post, “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Details You Need to Know,” the company revealed the PlayStation VR-exclusive Jackal Assault VR Experience, which puts players in the cockpit of the Jackal space fighter jet, will be free to for everyone and will not require Infinite Warfare to play.
Developed in partnership with Infinity Ward and Paper Crane Games, the Jackal Assault VR Experience will be available to download the same day as the launch of Infinite Warfare – this Friday, November 4 and will require 1.5GB of space.
We recently had the opportunity to play a hands-on demo of Jackal Assault VR at the Call of Duty XP 2016 convention a few months ago and found it to have some of the best visuals for a PlayStation VR game. Players will have full movement control of the Jackal jet and use the standard PS4 DualShock 4 controller, plus the PS VR’s head tracking for the missile lock-on.
