GI.biz reporter Christopher Dring has revealed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2‘s launch sales in the UK were up by a staggering 92% over last year’s Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Furthermore, Dring notes that nearly 60% of sales for the military first-person shooter were attributed to the PS4 & PS5 versions of the game.
It’s well known that Call of Duty: Vanguard underachieved in terms of commercial performance, although Activision has been quick to reveal that the latest entry in the franchise has drummed up considerable interest so far. In fact, it’s the fastest-selling Call of Duty game yet, having made over one billion dollars in just ten days.
