It’s well known that Call of Duty: Vanguard underachieved in terms of commercial performance, although Activision has been quick to reveal that the latest entry in the franchise has drummed up considerable interest so far. In fact, it’s the fastest-selling Call of Duty game yet, having made over one billion dollars in just ten days.
Looking ahead, Activision has confirmed that there will be a premium release for Call of Duty in 2023, although it is believed this may be a major expansion to Modern Warfare 2 rather than a new game.
