Call Of Duty Modern Warfare III Has Set Player Engagement Records For The Rebooted Trilogy

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has set new engagement records for the rebooted trilogy, despite the game attracting a lot of negative press in recent weeks for its short campaign and other issues.

The official Call of Duty Twitter account had the following to say:

Thank you for a historic launch. Just two weeks in, MWIII has already set records with the highest engagement in the new Modern Warfare trilogy! Thank you for inspiring us and for spending so much time in this game. Your feedback and passion continually makes us better. And thank you for playing with us — it’s been a blast, and there’s much more fun in store!

In terms of engagement, Modern Warfare III saw more hours per player overall played than both of its predecessors, while those playing the campaign have put in more time per player in MWIII than the previous two entries.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III launched for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on November 10, 2023. The game topped the UK physical charts upon release, but sales were down 25 % over last year’s entry. You can read our full review here.
