With Call of Duty Modern Warfare’s first season almost over and season 2 imminent, the trailer for its second season now has leaked via a capture from an official Activision profile on Xbox Live. As detailed by COD Tracker, season 2 will bring a number of maps including:
- The Atlas Superstore
- Zhokov Boneyard
The Atlas Superstore is taken from the larger map in the Spec Ops portion of the game, based in the fictional city of Verdansk. It takes place inside of a warehouse, in a shopping centre. This will surely allow for more verticality, where you can get the height advantage over your opponent.
Zhokov Boneyard is a new ground war map. Fans might remember this location from the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, but it has since been redesigned for purpose.
A new gunfight map is also available (Gunfight being the best mode, in my humble opinion). Bazaar is set in the fictional Middle Eastern country of Urikstan and is the home of Farah Karim, who features heavily in the campaign.
Last but not least, the legendary Rust makes it’s return. This map speaks for itself and I’m sure it is the most anticipated for the majority of fans. Let the ‘1 v 1’ memes commence.
Thats Not All
Elsewhere, there will be two new weapons to enjoy: the Striker 45 and the GRAU 5.56. Also worth noting that the trailer hints at night vision modes making a comeback. I personally really enjoyed these modes, but it seems the larger community didn’t take to them.
Other details leaked last week regarding season 2 of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare. The information came once again from Activision themselves, before being removed from the official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare website. Charlie Intel caught the information before it was taken offline, which confirmed the return of Ghost (albeit voiced by different actor).
The Battle Pass will set you back 1000 CP or 2400 CP for the battle pass bundle. Infinity Ward boasts over 80 unlockables just for playing. All in all, it looks like season 2 will be kicking off with a bang.
