Activision looks set to reduce the Call of Duty game size by a staggering 100GB for its next update, according to reliable X account PlayStation Game Size.
The current instalment of the series, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, is preparing for the upcoming Season 5 Reloaded content drop ahead of the launch of Call of Duty Black Ops 7 in November. This will include new Zombies content, a brand new multiplayer map, and 20 Battle Pass Tier Skips among other goodies.

PlayStation Game Size on X lists Call of Duty update 01.080.000 as having been added to the database, and reveals that the PS5 version of Call of Duty will be reduced from 126.224 to just 25.377GB. In addition, the PS4 edition of the military shooter is also being reduced to 62GB from 81GB.
Earlier this week it was confirmed that a Call of Duty movie is officially going ahead after Activision partnered with Paramount, with the possibility of expanding the franchise further in TV and films. The publishing giant previously confirmed that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 content — including Operators and weapons — will no transfer over to Call of Duty Black Ops 7, explaining the decision is due to the latest entry needing ‘to feel authentic to Call of Duty and its setting.’
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is slated for release on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on November 14, 2025.
