Can you beat The Order: 1886 in three hours?

Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 4-exclusive action-adventure, The Order: 1886, has been beaten in a mere three hours, according to reports filtering in from Sweden.

Game Reactor Sweden (via Gameranx) kicked off the rumor when one of the staff members mentioned a friendly chat with the Editor-in-Chief of a fellow Dutch gaming magazine.

Apparently, this individual then claimed that he was able to finish off Ready at Dawn’s visually-breathtaking adventure in a mere three hours. Furthermore, he claimed this was the reason gaming press were receiving their copies of the game later than usual.

A translation of the article can be seen below.

Ouch! Really hope this is not true. I talked to a competitor for a couple of weeks ago, a Dutch gaming magazine whose editor in chief I have been on the move along with a couple of times (very nice guy). We talked a bit of everything when he suddenly poured out that he just played through The Order 1886 and in detail knew why the review version will be sent out late to the overall world press (we still have not seen any sign of it). "The Order 1886 is approximately three hours long". I almost lost my breath. Shorter than the shortest of the Call of Duty single-player campaigns? Of course it would really not good, at all. Of course, this is not confirmed, may well only prove to be an evil reputation, but that’s what we’ve heard from insiders people.”

The Order: 1886’s length is a topic that has come up many times in the last few weeks. Originally, it was reported to take around 8-10 hours to complete, while another claim pegged the length at over five hours.

The game is due out worldwide on February 20, 2015.
