Konami has announced the long-awaited revival of the Castlevania franchise during Sony’s State of Play event this evening, with Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse coming to PS5 in 2026.

This latest instalment in the long-running franchise takes place 23 years after the events of Castlevania: Dracula’s Curse, and follows a young Belmont across a new 2D action-exploration romp. The project being developed by Konami, Evil Empire, and Motion Twin.
