MercurySteam, the studio behind the likes of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Metroid Dread, has teased its next title, known as Project Iron, which takes the form of a fantasy, single-player action-RPG.
There’s not much to go on right now other than a quick video that appropriately features a hammer and anvil, which has obviously kicked off speculation as to what it might be. Another Castlevania or Metroid looks pretty unlikely given the teaser, plus of course the fact we know what type of game it is.

MercurySteam previously announced back in August 2023 that it was working on two new projects, with distribution duties to be handled by 505 Games. Project Iron is believed to be one of those games, which at that time was previously confirmed as in development and would be published by 505.
