Catherine’s European release date pulled back into 2011?

European gamers have been extremely patient in getting their hands on the highly acclaimed horror puzzle-platformer Catherine – especially since it has already been out in Japan since February and July for the U.S. However, according to the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), it seems as though they won’t have to wait much longer to buy the game themselves.

On the official site, the BBFC has slapped a 15 rating on the game, due to “strong language, moderate gore and sex references”. The age-rating of Catherine was finalised on September 28, 2011.

But the most significant factor is that the BBFC has listed Catherine for a release date of November 4, 2011. This will come as a surprise to many, considering that the last anyone heard about Catherine’s arrival in Europe was that it would not be out until the first quarter of 2012. Therefore if the BBFC is anything to go by, Catherine’s release date has been pulled back into 2011.

The games publisher, Atlus, is yet to comment/confirm the supposed change in release date.
