Kwan Perng has revealed in a post on LinkedIn that they have joined CD Projekt RED to work on Witcher multiplayer spinoff, Project Sirius, as its lead writer. Perng had previously worked on Destiny 2 expansion The Final Shape and End of Dragons for Guild Wars 2.
I’ve joined CD PROJEKT RED as the Lead Writer on Project Sirius. It will be some time before I can talk about the project, but in the meantime I’ve been immersing myself in the dark and eclectic universe of The Witcher. It’s humbling to get the opportunity to tell stories in this world and in the company of such talented developers.
Back in April 2025, developer The Molasses Flood revealed that it has merged with CD Projekt RED, which will be handling production of Project Sirius. However, at the same time, the studio’s co-founder, Damian Isla, announced his departure from the company. We haven’t heard many updates on the game since that time, but presumably Project Sirius development remains a full steam ahead.
CD Projekt RED is also working on The Witcher IV, which the studio confirmed will not be released until at least 2027.
