Cliffhanger Games Job Listing Suggests Its Black Panther Game Is Open World

The Black Panther video game from EA’s Cliffhanger Games is going to be an open-world affair, according to a new job listing at the company.

The job opening is for a principal sandbox designer and mentions that the successful candidate “will be instrumental in designing and populating encounters, systems, and gameplay within a dynamic and evolving open world.”

Drawing upon a deep understanding of technical design principles and a passion for creating immersive sandbox experiences, this role demands close collaboration with design teams, AI engineering, and technical art departments to bring our game world to life.

The Black Panther game was announce in July 2023 and was confirmed as a single-player, third-person outing and features talent that has worked on the likes of Halo Infinite, Call of Duty, God of War and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
