Clive Barker is a well known author and filmmaker. But what most people don’t realize is that before Jericho was even announced he already had a game released. The game I speak of is called Undying and now he is ready to get back into one of the largest growing industries this world has ever seen, gaming and to do this he has teamed up with Codemasters.
Barker stated "I don’t want to give too much away just yet, but the concept is that somewhere in northern Africa there is a walled city which is not just a walled city but walls within walls within walls," Barker said. "It’s like Russian dolls, spaces within each other, and trapped inside each space is a slice of time where the warriors of good have gone against ultimate evil and have lost."
What is known about this action horror game is that this game deals with a sudden reappearance of a lost city called Jericho in a secluded desert. In the newly rediscovered city evil lurks and must be stopped so a group of special forces are sent in on a mission to destroy the evil at the center of the city. The squad has been trained in both arcane arts and conventional warfare.
Barker is involved with the development process the entire way and has been working with Codemasters to bring what he sees to the game. During gameplay the main character will engage in battle with foes that are either good or bad and it’s up to you to decide.
Clive Baker was working on a movie and a game called Demonik earlier this year but the project has been put off and Jericho should be released in the later part of 2007.
