Console owners use PS3 to browse web more than Wii

Data from business statistics group Market Share has revealed that Sony’s PlayStation 3 console is more widely used for browsing the web by console owners than Nintendo Wii.

Figures show that PS3 Internet usage occupies approximately 0.04 percent of the ‘Internet market’, while the Wii takes home a paltry 0.01 percent. Unsurprisingly, the PC wipes the floor with the competition at a mammoth 88.7 percent.

Although the difference between the PS3 and Wii’s Internet usage is minimal at best, these numbers are perhaps more interesting when you consider the install base of both machine’s, with the Wii’s userbase estimated at being more than double that of Sony’s black box.
