Remedy Entertainment has revealed details on PS5 Pro support for Control Resonant, which will include three settings too choose from while taking advantage of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) – Balanced, Performance, and Quality.
First up, Balanced Mode allows 120Hz-compatible TV owners to experience Control Resonant at a resolution of 2160p and a target of 40 FPS. Performance Mode meanwhile targets 60 FPS at 1440p, while Quality Mode runs the game at 30 FPS with a resolution of 2160p. Standard PS5 owners aren’t being left in the cold however, as you have Performance and Quality Modes to select from (60 FPS/1440p and 30 FPS/2160p, respectively).
Elsewhere, the DualSense’s adaptive triggers will be employed for protagonist Dylan’s combat abilities, to “create a stronger connection between your actions and his.” 3D Audio support is also available, which adds “another layer of sonic immersion with a compatible headset.”
Control Resonant takes places in Manhattan, where the Federal Bureau of Control is running out of options as it faces an unprecedented paranatural crisis. Dylan Faden is dispatched by the FBC to take on a mysterious cosmic entity that tinkering with the fundamental aspects of our reality, and therefore it’s up to Faden to harness his supernatural abilities and face off against a series of mind-bending threats.
Control Resonant launches for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on September 24, 2026.
