Crimson Desert DLC Confirmed By Pearl Abyss Alongside New Combat Content, Story Improvements

Pearl Abyss has revealed that it has a bunch of key content in the works for Crimson Desert in a roadmap update for the game, including DLC, although it didn’t go into much detail about what we can expect in that respect.

Crimson Desert is going to be seeing a number of key improvements that will be rolled out from June — September 2026, including story improvements, new combat content, and more.

We plan to roll these updates out gradually from June through September, and we’re preparing them to be enjoyable both for those who have spent many hours in Pywel and for those who are just beginning their journey. Your feedback will continue to be an important reference throughout development, so please continue to share it with us.

Our updates to Pywel do not end with the content and features listed below. We are also hard at work on an upcoming DLC for Crimson Desert, and while we cannot share the details just yet, we are preparing it as a meaningful addition to your journey. We will share more details in the future, so stay tuned.

Among the highlights include Cross-Save, which will allow you to continue your journey in Crimson Desert across different platforms. All you have to do is link your account, and you can share your save files across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. In addition, Pearl Abyss is planning a re-blockade update, which it describes as a “new phase” that aims to “make the flow before and after a blockade more natural,” while rewards will be “improved to make the process of liberating strongholds feel more rewarding.”

Crimson Desert was released in March 2026 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and you can read our full review here. The game sold five million copies in less than one month, so it’s unsurprising to see Pearl Abyss having such a robust post-launch slate for the title.
