Pearl Abyss has announced that Crimson Desert has now shifted five million copies worldwide since its launch on March 19, 2026 on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. Evidently, the open-world RPG is still managing to enjoy strong sales momentum, as it reached four million sales on April 1.
The company took to social media to mark the milestone with the following statement:
Crimson Desert has sold through over 5 million copies worldwide! Thank you to every Greymane who has joined us on this journey, experienced the world of Pywel, and supported the game. Reaching this milestone would not have been possible without your support and we are truly grateful.
Pearl Abyss last week revealed its future plans for Crimson Desert in regards to content updates, confirming it will be releasing difficulty settings, boss rematches, and new outfits for the game. The latest patch for Crimson Desert is now available to download for PS5 and comes with a Weapon Display option and numerous combat and user interface improvements.
