Crimson Desert developer Pearl Abyss has released another hotfix for the game that targets quest issues, notably for ‘The Mysterious Pot’ mission. The studio has been frequently patching the RPG over the last few months with a series of small updates that iron out lingering bugs such as crashes and progression blockers. Crimson Desert was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S in March 2026, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned for release in early 2027. The game has sold over six million copies worldwide. In addition, Pearl Abyss confirmed during Sony’s September 2026 State of Play broadcast that an expansion titled Charting the Unknown is in the works, and will launch on October 15, 2026, while an Enhanced update of the game was released in late August that offers a range of quality-of-life improvements and other features.
