In what seems like even more proof that Gabe Newell doesn’t hate the PlayStation 3, Valve has revealed that it wants Portal 2 to offer cross-compatibility between computers and the PS3. When questioned on playing co-op with someone on a computer with someone on a PS3, developer Erik Johnson said it was “something the team is gunning for.”
In addition, Valve’s Mike Dunkle has gone on record as saying “the plan is you will be able to play between console and PC.” Portal 2 was revealed at Sony’s press conference this week and it is slated for release on PS3, which was a shocker to many, in 2011.
